We’re excited to announce that we’ll be kicking off 2016 by launching the new Carleton Perspectives on Public Policy blog! We want to provide more ways for you—the bright and talented MAPA students (MA and PhD) and alumni—to share your perspectives on topical public policy and public management issues facing Canada.
We love sharing student work through the Carleton Perspectives journal, and we’re excited to get the editorial ball rolling for our next issue in the New Year (to find out how you can get involved with the journal, click here). But we also know that there are more research projects and high quality papers, interesting topics, and insightful student perspectives, than we can showcase each year through our journal format.
That’s why we are inviting all MAPA students and alumni to become bloggers!
We’ll officially be accepting blog submissions soon—but in the meantime, we want to let you know what we’ll be looking for:
- 400-1000 words maximum;
- Short format versions of academic work;
- Evidence-based opinions and analysis of current public policy issues relevant to Canada;
- Analysis and critiques of Carleton speaker series and related public policy events.
Blog posts will be reviewed by our editorial team and accepted based on quality of writing and relevance.
We’re looking forward to launching this new platform that will complement the success of our academic journal. And especially showcasing more MAPA student perspectives on a diverse range of public policy issues!
Stay tuned for details.
